Owen typically wakes up at least an hour before any of his siblings do. So, we spend that time in the mornings just hanging out. This day, we played play doh hair salon.

Mike has taken up guitar and is getting pretty good at it. He often plays at night and the whole family sings along. Super fun! Notice it's a half size guitar...it was a gift for Aidan a few years ago at Christmas, Mike plays it more than Aidan, go figure!

Our smart little niece of course grabbed the $100 bill! She will be very prosperous.

Bella didn't want to be left out so she stood by the sign too.
Our niece Sofia turns 1!
Esther, always the event planner, had a list for Sofia's party. It's not quite as detailed as the one for their wedding, but it's pretty close!

Little Sofia getting her Korean birthday celebration outfit on...and none too happy about it!

The boys cabin. Aidan and his friend Brian and Luke spent the week at Lakeside Bible Camp on Whidbey Island. They had a blast!
Even though they had indoor plumbing this is the spot where the boys liked to relieve themselves. Pretty cool stuff for a 9 year old boy!
The pile of logs that makes a really cool fort, especially since it's hidden in the woods

The theme for camp at Lakeside this year was Olympics. Here the boys are in front of the logo

This was the shooting range. The boys said they put their pop cans in the bin when they were done with them so they would have something to shoot at.

Bella on our road trip to Whidbey Island to get Aidan from camp. I don't think it's possible to take a road trip without a slurpee.

Bella got a rare glimpse at being an only child for a few hours. She loved it!

Aidan being cool in the boat
Peter and Luke Edvalds
High tide at The Teodoro house. The kids were totally excited to see that parts of an old dock floated over to Grandma and Grandpa's beach. They threw poppers on it, made makeshift oars out of long sticks, and tried their best to keep from floating out to sea.

Owen and Luke tubing. The water was 59 degrees and the temperature that day was hovering around the low 70's...did the kids mind...nah!

Bella seeking comfort with her daddy.

Owen the boat man. He LOVES being on the boat, around the boat, or near the boat. He spent the WHOLE day on the 4th in the boat and then wanted more. Just like Grandpa!

Bella was obsessed with tracking down "the get married girl" as she called her. She would pick up stray flowers that were on the ground just for an excuse to hand them to Angie. Funny girl!
Erica sandwiched her little baby bump between her two pieces of white cake! She's taking the whole eating for two literally!

Bella wrote about her favorite thing, Webkinz!

Aidan's baseball season is over. They had a great time and Aidan grew a lot as a player. He looks forward to playing again next season.

Here he is with his coach, telling everyone that his favorite part of the season was when he struck someone out for the first time.

A sign on the Queen Mary
Mike sailing his ship
The Queen Mary was right next to our cruise ship. In fact, we did early check in on the Queen Mary and had time to attend a church service on board that morning before setting sail.
We flew right over our house. We could even pin point our neighborhood. It's just behind the clouds on this picture though.

We set sail on mother's day. I started to "collect" (some might say steal) flowers for my bouquet.
Our first formal night

Setting sail from Long Beach, CA
Our first glimpse at the boat

Sailing past the baja penninsula

Towel frog

Ready for our zipline tour in the jungle
Some of the restaurants in Puerto vallarta
Dog towel
Off of the baja coast we saw some jumping fish
Two days into our cruise it was finally warm enough to lay outside in the sun

The monkey grabbed my hand outside of the cage. It was amazing that he had little baby fingers complete with fingernails.
Before we could go in the monkey cage, we had to hold the snake.
Mike and I on the zipline in Puerto Vallarta
Getting strapped into the zipline

Mike going through the jungle

We had a chance to play with monkeys in Puerto Vallarta. This monkey liked to bite.
He also liked to jump and eat spider heads. He wasn't my favorite.
These little guys were so sweet but they really only wanted the food out of the little bamboo tube. Well, that and Mike's chapstick. They stole it right out of his pocket and tried their darndest to get it open.

He liked his head rubbed

We definitly got to see a more real part of Mexico. This is part of the fishermans village in Mazatlan
Fish anyone?

Notice the Mexican band in the background

This little girl was 2 and carried this puppy around like her little baby doll.
My spanish is good enough to communicate with these 2 and 5 year olds! The 5 year old and I hit it off pretty well. I convinced him to catch a chicken for me. He finally caught one right before we left.
These are the two kids of the people who run the horseback riding business. We met at their house before getting on our horses.
A picture of our ship when we drove by on the water taxi
Mazatlan is definitly a fishing village

We had a chance to run the horses on the beach. Stone Island is a beach that is only allowed to have natives own land so it is very rural. There were very few buildings on the island so most of the scenery consisted of palm tree forests and sandy beaches.

We took a water taxi over from the mainland and went to the house of the horse owners. This is their kitchen.

The pool we crashed in Cabo also had these floats in the pool. Talk about relaxing!
Dino towel, or if you look at it from the tail side, it looks like a dog bum.

My windy Marilyn Monroe impression. We had a room with a balcony but most of the time it was too windy and cold to use it.
Relaxing after horseback riding.
Horseback riding on Stone Island in Mazatlan

Some guys surfing on their skim boards on divorce beach (the Pacific ocean side)
Rocks on Lovers Beach
A cave
We took a LONG kyack excursion from the main beach to lovers beach. Thankfully we had a guide. I asked him if I would have muscles like him after we were done. He didn't get my joke. In fact, most of my jokes didn't translate that well. Maybe I'm not as funny as I think? Nah!
Mike and I crashed a hotel in Cabo. It was gorgeous! There were tons of people cabanas and even this dog cabana with sand play area.

The second formal night
me and my food baby
stealing a picture with the cheesy cruise ship backdrops

Lovers beach in Cabo San Lucas
The water taxi we took in Cabo. There are warnings all over the cruise ship not to take these boats. After riding on it for 10 minutes I could see why!

I recently had a viewing of the documentary The Business of Being Born with the midwives who delivered Owen. It was fantastic. Here it is if you are interested in watching it. I think it is important to know the choices that you have to make an informed decision in the birthing process. http://quicksilverscreen.com/watch?video=45525

Owen's on his new (hand me down) bike and he loves it! He's only 2 1/2 but he sure can keep up with the big kids!
For the first time ever, all three kiddos are on bikes. Our family is starting to feel less baby and more kid.
